What is coaching?

The ICF defines coaching as “a partnership that focuses on the actions our clients intend to take to realize their vision, goals, and desires.”

In other words, the coach provides a psychologically safe environment in which the client can explore themselves through the questions posed by the coach. The coach encourages deep reflection. This process helps to increase self-awareness, self-understanding, and responsibility. With this support, the coach helps clients clarify their personal and professional goals and achieve them more quickly than they would without guidance.
